Congratulations on making it to the semi-final round of the 2008 One Show. All of the entries on the shortlist have been selected by our 2008 One Show judges to move on to the final round of judging. Please note that being on the shortlist does not guarantee that a piece will receive a pencil or merit award or even appear in the Annual. The winners will be determined during the final round of judging held in New York May 2nd, 3rd and 4th. The finalists will be announced during a press conference on Monday, May 5th, and the pencil winners will be announced Wednesday, May 7th, at the 2008 One Show.
DEADLINE FRIDAY APRIL 18, 2008
If your entry makes it through the final round of judging, the credits submitted during the entry process will be on screen during the One Show ceremony on May 7th, in the One Show Annual as well as on certificates, awards and other printed material. Now is your chance to correct any mistakes that may have been made during the entry process. It is important that you carefully review these credits, make the necessary changes, and submit a final version. Absolutely no changes can be made after April 18th.
When entering names, please try to avoid special characters such as umlauts or tildas. Do not include inc. or co. after company names as these will be deleted. Also, do not use all uppercase text--use regular upper and lowercase letters for company names, clients, etc. unless absolutely necessary.
DEADLINE FRIDAY APRIL 18, 2008
Every entry on the shortlist must be accompanied by verification. We make every effort to maintain the high standards of the One Show, but unfortunately we see the same ads entered two years in a row, ads that never ran, and even ads with non-existent clients. In order to eliminate bogus ads from the show, we must insist on verification of first release dates and publications for all print entries on the shortlist, and first airdates for TV and radio entries on the shortlist. The qualifications for entries state that all work must have been published or aired for the first time between January 1, 2007 and January 31, 2008.
For TV and Radio entries, verification may be in the form of a letter from the TV or radio station on company stationary. In the case of print ads, the actual tear sheet from the publication must be supplied.
For collateral or guerrilla pieces, please include a letter from the client on company stationery verifying the ad.
If you cannot supply the necessary information for your work, we will be forced to disqualify the entry.

Each winning entry is awarded three Pencils or three Merit certificates. When finalizing your credits, you will have the opportunity to select the names you would like to allot to the awards. If your piece makes it through final judging, we will award one pencil or merit certificate to the agency, one to an art director and one to a copywriter. When finalizing your credits you must indicate which art director and copywriter will receive the award, should your piece win.
Additional pencils and certificates can be purchased through our online store.
